AHC20116 Certificate II in Agriculture

This VET subject provides an entry level occupational outcome in agriculture. The qualification enables individuals to select a livestock production or cropping context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed farming enterprises, both.

Duration: 2 years

  • Operate basic machinery and equipment
  • Treat plant pests, diseases and disorders
  • Inspect & Clean Machinery for Plant, Animal & Soil Material
  • Undertake operational maintenance of machinery
  • Observe and report on weather
  • Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices
  • Handle livestock using basic techniques
  • Install, maintain and repair farm fencing
  • Monitor water supplies
  • Muster and move livestock
  • Provide feed for livestock
  • Carry out basic electric fencing operations
  • Work effectively in the industry
  • Apply chemicals under supervision
